This is the total number of cycles that the battery pack has been put through since the BMS has started keeping track. On Revision-D BMS units and newer this value is stored over complete power loss, though on earlier hardware revisions this value is lost when all power is cut to the BMS.
A battery cycle is defined as a net transfer of the total Amphour capacity of the pack. In other words, on a 40Ahr battery one cycle would be a net transfer of 40 Amphours.
